PSYCHOTHERAPY
Structured clinical care
for real, lasting change.
For individuals, couples, and families navigating patterns that repeat — in relationships, family life, and work. We take suffering seriously, and we work toward more than symptom relief.

OUR APPROACH
More than managing symptoms
Psychotherapy at The November Institute is structured clinical care for individuals, couples, and families. We take suffering seriously — and we also believe that real relief comes from more than managing symptoms.

Our work is oriented toward understanding the patterns that generate distress, and developing the capacity to function differently within them. Sessions are conducted with clear clinical boundaries and ongoing accountability.

This work is not about quick fixes. It is about developing steadiness, clarity, and a grounded sense of self — especially where relationships, work, family, and community exert the most pressure.
wHAT WE MEAN BY
SELF IN RELATIONSHIP
Psychotherapy begins with an intake process to clarify goals, context, and fit. Treatment proceeds at a pace appropriate to the person, couple, or family — with attention to relational patterns, emotional process, and the ways anxiety and pressure shape actions and choices.
Initial intake to assess goals and clinical fit
Regular sessions with consistent structure and pacing
Attention to patterns that repeat across relationships
Clear clinical accountability throughout treatment
Referral or coordination with other providers when appropriate
HOW WE WORK
Our focus in treatment
Understanding the patterns that repeat in your relationships — not just describing them, but changing them
Becoming less reactive and more deliberate in how you respond to emotional pressure
Clarifying what you actually think, want, and stand for
Staying connected to the people who matter without losing yourself in the process
Recognizing how your family of origin shaped your current relational habits
Developing the capacity to hold your position in difficult conversations
Reducing blame-based patterns in favor of clearer accountability
Strengthening your ability to remain present under stress
AREAS OF FOCUS
Who we work with
Ongoing relationship conflict, disconnection, or recurring misunderstandings
Communication that turns into defending, blaming, withdrawing, or shutting down
Anxiety, chronic stress, and feeling reactive or on edge
Difficulty speaking clearly without guilt or escalation
Repeating family patterns that show up in adult relationships
Feeling responsible for others' emotions, or relying on others to feel stable
Leadership and work-related strain — conflict, burnout, decision fatigue
Parenting pressures, co-parenting tension, extended family challenges
Major transitions — marriage, separation, relocation, illness, loss
Knowing what matters but struggling to act consistently
LEVELS OF CARE
Who provides treatment
Services are provided by licensed clinicians and, in some cases, by supervised associate clinicians who are completing their training under structured oversight. We are transparent about who is providing care and can discuss the right fit during the intake process.

All clinicians at the Institute are committed to ongoing learning and hold themselves to high standards of professional development, consultation, and ethical practice.
